The government’s official website brings excerpts.
Topics of the upcoming round of negotiations:
“We expect to reach a positive conclusion regarding the previously discussed topics and to add another one or two topics. It is quite possible that one of them will be electricity supply in Kosovo-Metohija. All topics are close to good solutions, except for customs seals. We submitted a concrete proposal for resolving this issue, which is consistent with our position on Kosovo's status, but also with European standards. We will also ask Pristina representatives to state their positions on the cadastre, registration books, presidency of CEFTA agreement, air transport and telecommunications.”
The duration of the next round of negotiations:
“The new round of talks will last a day or two, while the idea is for the meetings to take place every three weeks. I am convinced that this round of talks will be successful as it is clear that no one wants the negotiations to last indefinitely.”
When the negotiations are expected to end?
“We can be efficient enough to end the negotiations by the end of this year or next year, although there are no deadlines, and we should not create artificial deadlines. There are many issues that burden our people in Kosovo-Metohija. Relations between Belgrade and Pristina and the north of Kosovo will be a separate topic, for the end.”
