Kirill Kravchenko, Oliver Dulic and Stanislav Dedovec
Presenting the report on the realisation of a project of complex ecological revision of NIS facilities, Dulic stressed that the company has so far met all environmental requirements.
The Minister noted that thanks to investments in NIS, the situation in Pancevo has greatly improved and pollution in this town is no longer a regular occurrence.
Agreement has been reached to finance this investment from Gazpromneft funds with around €60 million, while NIS will provide the rest.
NIS completed a study and analysed the impact of the plant on water, air and soil pollution, Dulic observed, voicing his expectation that the results and goals of this study will have a positive effect on the environment in Serbia.
NIS General Director Kirill Kravchenko stressed that by 2014 the company will invest €90 million in environmental projects, which will be financed by Gazpromneft and NIS.
Kravchenko said that over the last two years NIS invested €30 million in environmental projects and said that 2011 will be important when it comes to investing in environmental protection.
He said that this is also the contribution of NIS on Serbia’s way toward the EU.
This year we plan to invest around €40 million in environmental projects, mostly in the Pancevo refinery, and we have several projects in Vojvodina, Zrenjanin and Kikinda, said Kravchenko.
Director of industrial and environmental safety, occupational safety and health at NIS Stanislav Dedovec said that the company has already implemented environmental projects in the oil refineries in Pancevo and Novi Sad.
