Revealing political background of assassination of Prime Minister Djindjic necessary

Minister of Justice Snezana Malovic today expressed confidence that it will soon be clear who stood behind the rebellion of the Special Operations Unit (JSO), which was a prelude to the murder of Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic.

Malovic said in an interview with today's edition of the daily newspaper Blic that the Prosecution for Organised Crime should initiate criminal proceedings for JSO rebellion and the political background of the assassination of Prime Minister Djindjic.
The family of the assassinated Prime Minister and the citizens of Serbia have been waiting too long for an answer to the question who stood behind the rebellion and the political background of the assassination of Zoran Djindjic, the Minister said.
Clearing up all the circumstances of the assassination of Prime Minister Djindjic is a debt to the future, because Serbia of the past is remembered as a place where political opponents, journalists, and finally the prime minister were killed. We must not allow the existence of criminal groups that may threaten the functioning of the state and its citizens, the way the Zemun Clan did it in collaboration with state structures, concluded Malovic.
