Dacic, US Ambassador discuss cooperation in security

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic met today with US Ambassador to Serbia Mary Warlick to discuss cooperation between Serbian and American security structures.
Dacic stressed that the meeting looked at his visit to the United States early in February and matters that are to be realised, not only at the political level, but also in terms of cooperation in the security sector.
He recalled that during his visit to the United States, he accepted the invitation of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), which invited Serbia to become full member of the International Narcotic Enforcement Organisation. If the Serbian government decides to join, Serbia will for the first time participate in the work of this organisation under the DEA’s auspices, Dacic said, announcing that the Ministry of the Interior will take part in a world congress in Mexico this year, dedicated to the fight against narcotics.
