Bradic, who is on visit to Berlin as part of promotional activities for Serbia’s participation in the fair, told Tanjug news agency that the programme of Serbia’s participation in this event which will be held from 17 to 20 March was presented at today's press conference at Volksbuhne theatre.
According to the reactions of those present and the interest expressed by the media, we expect that Serbia will have a very successful presentation, the Minister said, adding that this expectation is confirmed by the number of books of Serbian authors translated into German, as well as the programme that is very ambitious and will include approximately 60 authors from Serbia.
Presentation of Serbian literature and culture at the Leipzig fair is one of the ways to establish stronger ties between Serbia and Germany, Bradic underlined and noted that a delegation of the Serbian Ministry of Culture discussed this with representatives of the German Ministry for Media and Culture.
Bradic also spoke with State Secretary of the German Foreign Office Peter Ammon about the support that Germany provides to Serbia for development of culture through Goethe Institut, Serbia’s honorary participation at the Leipzig book fair and about culture and sustainable development as part of the Danube strategy.
