Djelic,
who is on a visit to Germany, said after meeting with German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle that Germany expects results from Serbia in the coming months.
Djelic told Westerwelle that the Serbian government wants to start dialogue with Pristina as soon as possible, which is expected to show concrete results, both in terms of technical and some more complicated issues.
Djelic stressed that Serbia is monitoring the false asylum seekers’ issue, announcing that an inter-ministerial group will soon be established.
Serbia will not hesitate to positively respond to all demands for the readmission of its nationals who were illegally migrating, Djelic highlighted, adding that the Serbian government will not allow a minority of citizens to jeopardise the right of the majority to the freedom of movement.
During the meeting they contemplated issues regarding new ways of Germany and the EU’s financial assistance to Serbia, as well as Germany’s support to Serbia within the EU regarding the increase of tariff quotas for exporting sugar.
They also discussed the issues of cultural and scientific cooperation and the cooperation between the two countries within the Danube Strategy.
