Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Bozidar Djelic said today that he will talk with German Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs Guido Westerwelle tomorrow in Berlin about the problem of false asylum seekers and announced that the Serbian government will set up a working group to deal with this problem.
Djelic underlined that this will be the focus of
his visit to Berlin especially in view of the fact that the largest number of asylum seekers in Germany last year came from Serbia.
The Serbian government will set up a working group that will follow the situation with the White Schengen, he said and affirmed that Serbia is making efforts to prevent that White Schengen is brought into question.
The first results have already been achieved and the number of asylum requests has been reduced, in Germany in particular. However, this problem is not over and Serbia has to work on its prevention and suppression of the groups that are trying to abuse the White Schengen, the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
Djelic stated that Serbia will not allow a small group of people to jeopardise the freedom of movement of its citizens.
