At the proposal of the Ministry of the Interior, the government decided to grant citizenship to Luma Milicevic out of purely humanitarian and humane reasons, Dacic said.
A foreign national can be given citizenship after three years of marriage, which in Luma’s case is not possible due to her husband’s death, he explained.
Milicevic thanked for being granted Serbian citizenship, stressing that this means a lot to her, especially because she has two children in Serbia.
