Dacic,
who is on a several-day working visit to the United States, said following the meeting that it is important for Serbia to continue the political dialogue with the US administration, despite the fact that there are certain subjects over which the two countries have differing opinion.
The main topic of their conversation was Serbia becoming a factor and part of the resolution of problems in the region and world relations, Dacic noted.
He underlined that the United States endorses Serbia on its path to EU integration, adding that the meeting voiced satisfaction on behalf of the United States regarding the fact that there is readiness to peacefully resolve all outstanding issues in Kosovo-Metohija.
American representatives share our concern and advocate that an objective, impartial investigation should be conducted regarding the report of Dick Marty on the trade in human organs of people kidnapped in Kosovo-Metohija, and they believe that this investigation should be carried out by EULEX, Dacic stressed.
He underlined that it must be performed by competent organs with jurisdiction to fulfil this task and uncover the truth.
At the meeting, they voiced their pleasure at the good relations between the two countries in the remit of interior affairs and judiciary, Dacic added.
Deputy Prime Minister Dacic spoke in favour of the Nastic family, while representatives from US administration promised to bring this matter to a close within the next several weeks.
