Tadic extends greetings to interior ministry over 200th anniversary

The Ministry of the Interior stated today that Serbian President Boris Tadic extended his greetings to First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic over two centuries of the interior ministry.

In his greeting to all employees of the Ministry of the Interior, Tadic stressed that the police have improved their credibility and that citizens have more confidence in them than before.
I believe that this confidence is important to all police offices and the Ministry employees, which is why I hope you will continue performing your duties to the benefit of all citizens, the President said.
As part of the celebration of the Ministry’s 200th anniversary, Dacic met today with Interpol Secretary General Ronald Noble, Europol Director Rob Wainewright and Vice President of the European Parliament’s Delegation for South-East Europe and Rapporteur for Serbia Jelko Kacin.
He also met with Bosnia-Herzegovina Minister of Security Sadik Ahmetovic, Montenegrin Minister of the Interior Ivan Brajovic, Republika Srpska Minister of the Interior Stanislav Cadjo, the Minister of the Interior and Security of Congo, Russian State Secretary for Emergency Situations Vladimir Puchkov and representatives from the Romanian Ministry of Administration and Interior.
President Tadic talked with the Interpol Secretary General, Europol Director, Bosnia-Herzegovina Minister of Security, Montenegrin Minister of the Interior and Republika Srpska Minister of the Interior, the statement adds.
