Serbian Minister of Culture Nebojsa Bradic, Bosnia-Herzegovina Minister of Civilian Affairs Sredoje Novic and Republika Srpska Minister of Culture Anton Kasipovic met today in Visegrad and invited cultural institutions, artists and citizens to join the celebration of 50 years from the awarding of the Nobel Prize in Literature to Ivo Andric.

Bradic told a press conference that Visegrad is the birthplace of Andric’s literature, considering the fact that this town prides itself with is famous bridge that is the central character in his novel “The Bridge on the Drina”.
He announced that the celebration began in Visegrad, and will continue in other cities of the region, but also in Austria and Germany.
Andric is one of those individuals that connect cultures and peoples, Bradic said.
Director and founder of the festival Kustendorf Emir Kusturica spoke about plans for the film "Bridge on the Drina”.
