Following the ceremony, Dacic voiced his hope that the displaced Serbs will return to Prizren, a town of huge historic significance for Serbia, stressing that it is important that traces of Serbian history can still be seen throughout the town, regardless of the current situation.
He noted it is also very good that the Church has been reconstructed, along with the seminary.
Minister Bogdanovic stressed that the enthronement of the new Bishop of Raska and Prizren shows that facilities of the Serbian Orthodox Church can be renovated and reconstructed not only in Prizren, but also elsewhere in the province.
Minister of Religion Bogoljub Sijakovic, the Serbian President’s envoy Mladjan Djordjevic, representatives from the Greek Orthodox Church with monks from Athos and representatives from the Russian Orthodox Church also attended the ceremony.
