Krkobabic stressed that the government will continue, together with international institutions, to work on improving the situation of refugees and IDPs and will try to solve the problem of collective centres.
He said that complete integration of refugees and IDPs must be ensured while those who wish to return to their respective countries should be allowed to return.
Serbian Refugee Commissioner Vladimir Cucic said that most of the resources for refugees and IDPs in recent years were drawn from EU funds, while the rest came from the state and municipal budgets.
In 2010, funds for building houses for 1,789 families have been provided, 1,231 families have been economically supported, and 14,000 aid packages were distributed, said Cucic.
Deputy Head of OSCE Mission in Serbia Thomas Moore said that in 2010 joint efforts were invested to improve the situation of refugees and IDPs in order to ensure their adequate housing and an opportunity to return.
