The donations from the Ambassadors Fund show the depth of America’s respect for cultural treasure of other countries, Warlick said and voiced hope that the cooperation between Serbia and the US on preservation of national riches will be continued and will witness the friendship between the peoples of Serbia and the US.
Museum Director Vilma Niskanovic thanked the US, the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Stari Grad for financial assistance and stated that replacement of the roof will begin when weather conditions permit it, most likely in late March, and should not last longer than three to four months.
