Japan interested in promoting cooperation with Serbia at all levels

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic met in Tokyo with Speaker at the Lower House of Japanese Parliament Takahiro Yokomichi and member of parliament and President of the Parliamentary League of Friendship Japan–Serbia Ichiro Aisawa.

The Ministry of the Interior stated that the two Japanese officials welcomed the signing of the Memorandum of police cooperation between Serbia and Japan and pointed out that Japan recognises Serbia as a key country in the region.

They stressed their support to the reform process in Serbia, and also expressed interest in improving relations with Serbia at all levels, the statement said, adding that a group of representatives of the Upper House of Japanese Parliament is expected to visit Serbia next week.
