He told Tanjug news agency that the agreement applies to 2010 and 2011, and specified that the funds are intended for the Patriarchate of Pec, Visoki Decani, Gracanica and the Church of Bogorodica Ljeviska in Prizren.
We were pleased to receive this news, the Minister pointed out and recalled that he recently discussed this issue with UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova and Ambassador of the Russian Federation for UNESCO Eleonora Valentinovna Mitrofanova.
He confirmed that the Ministry of Culture has prepared projects for the restoration of the facade and decorative plastic at Visoki Decani monastery, as well as for the restoration of the murals in the churches of the Patriarchate of Pec, Gracanica, Visoki Decani and Bogorodica Ljeviska.
This is a contribution which Serbia gives at this moment to this important project, Bradic highlighted and expressed the readiness of Serbian experts to cooperate with Russian and other experts from Europe on such an important task as the protection of cultural monuments in Kosovo-Metohija that are inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage list.
