Minister of Defence Dragan Sutanovac said today that the Serbian Army, according to objective indicators, is the most serious military force in the territory of former Yugoslavia, and it is the second largest in the region after the Romanian Army.
In a statement for today's edition of daily newspaper Press, Sutanovac explained that the main difference between the former Yugoslav People’s Army (JNA) and the Serbian Army is that today we have both a more compact state and more compact army.
In his opinion, the advantage of the new army is professionalism since in the modern world one professional soldier is worth four recruits.
This also shows that as of this year the power of our military is greater than it was in previous years, the Minister of Defence concluded.
