20 IDP families from Kosovo-Metohija receive flat keys

Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Bozidar Djelic and Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Vincent Degert delivered the keys to new flats to 20 internally displaced families from Kosovo-Metohija in Pozarevac today.
Opening a newly-built residential area in Pozarevac, Djelic highlighted that in this way Serbia is affirming its commitment to EU integration, adding this is only one of the many construction sites where flats for IDPs are being built.
Degert stressed that the EU integration process implies higher standards in all aspects of society and in every part of Serbia, noting that Pozarevac is an excellent example of this.
He voiced his belief that Serbia will soon become a member of the large European family.
The construction of the new residential area is part of an EU project “Support to Refugees and IDPs in Serbia”, implemented by the German NGO ASB in cooperation with the Serbian Refugee Commissariat and the town of Pozarevac.
The EU donation for this project totalled €260,000, while the town of Pozarevac invested €130,000 in infrastructure and foundations for residential blocks of flats.
