Israel to offer assistance in turning good technological ideas into successful companies

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and Minister of Science and Technological Development Bozidar Djelic said that his visit to Israel aims at improving relations between Serbia in the field of science and technology with this small, but very successful nation at world level.
Djelic told Tanjug news agency that the Serbian delegation visited some of the most prestigious world institutions, such as the Weizmann Institute of Science, which has already been at the top of world science for decades and earns hundreds of millions of dollars of revenue annually from intellectual property rights.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that agreement has been reached on cooperation and support of Israel to our country in the formation of similar institutions, which will allow for good technological ideas in Serbia to be turned into successful companies.
He confirmed that the Serbian delegation met with Israeli Minister of Science and Technology Daniel Hershkowitz today, whose invitation was the occasion for the visit, and with the Governor of the Central Bank of Israel Stanley Fischer.
On behalf of the Serbian government, Djelic laid wreaths as sign of remembrance to the victims of the Holocaust and signed the book in the Yad Vashem memorial centre in Jerusalem.
