Minister of Culture Nebojsa Bradic said tonight in Paris after meeting with Director General of UNESCO Irina Bokova that this organisation will send $50,000 in emergency assistance for the reconstruction of cultural monuments in the Kraljevo region.
Bradic told Tanjug news agency that modalities of technical and other assistance will be agreed on for the upcoming period.
Our cooperation with UNESCO in the previous period has been very good, especially in projects of the cultural heritage list of UNESCO, as well as some innovative projects of the Ministry of Culture, which we launched in cooperation with UNESCO, outlined Bradic.
The Culture Minister added that the Ministry of Culture proposed that part of the Yugoslav Film Archives material is included in the archives of UNESCO.
Cultural monuments that will be added to the list of UNESCO in the future are very important to us, highlighted Bradic but added that intangible heritage is also of great importance.
