Police help citizens of Kraljevo to remove consequences of earthquakes

First Deputy Serbian Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said today that between 300 and 400 members of the Serbian Interior Ministry are helping the citizens of Kraljevo to clear up the consequences of the earthquake that struck the city.

Dacic during his visit to the police headquarters in Prokuplje affirmed that policemen from the Department for Emergency Situations and other police officers will be in Kraljevo as long as there is a need to help the citizens in the clearance and rehabilitation of the consequences of the destructive earthquakes.

The First Deputy Prime Minister opened 20 km of the road near the monastery of Ajdanovac, near Prokuplje, which connects this municipality with neighbouring Blace.

He stressed that economic development is very important so that citizens can live, work and survive in the Toplica District.

Serbian Orthodox Church Patriarch Irinej highlighted that the opening of the reconstructed road should be the beginning of the reconstruction of the region, its culture and life.

The ceremony was also attended by the Serbian Army Chief of Staff Miloje Miletic and Police Director Milorad Veljovic.

Dacic also visited the villages of Zdravinje and Gornja Josanica, where he stressed that all those with fictitious address in their documents will be arrested.
