Following a visit to the Pirot Police Administration, Dacic observed that today’s operation in Belgrade and Arandjelovac was carried out by the Ministry of the Interior, the War Crimes Prosecution and security services.
He stressed that the Serbian government is committed to concluding cooperation with the tribunal in The Hague, but noted that the operation is not linked to the recently increased awards for any information about Ratko Mladic and Goran Hadzic.
The Deputy Prime Minister outlined that the operation was carried out on the basis of previously gathered security data and that one person was taken in for questioning.
He recalled that all information and locations that were somehow linked to the indictees are being checked out, as has so far been done, as well as people suspected to be in contact with them.
