Stability of states, safety of citizens important for European integration

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said today that the Serbian Ministry of the Interior has exquisite cooperation with Denmark, especially with the Danish Emergency Management Agency.

Dacic’s meeting with a delegation of Danish parliament, led by parliament Speaker Thor Pedersen, focused on Serbia’s European integration and the results it has achieved to date in the fight against organised crime and terrorism.
The Minister highlighted the importance of stability of states and safety of citizens of all Balkan states for their integration into the EU and stated that stability of all Balkan states requires realistic perception of the situation and use of the same principle when resolving open issues.
He reiterated the strategic priorities of the Serbian government and the fact that European integration is not only a political matter for Serbia, but a series of concrete issues that have to be resolved.
Participants in the meeting pointed to very good police cooperation of Serbia with all states in the region.
Serbia has been aware for more than ten years of the danger of groups that are linked to terrorism and it follows their activities on its territory in an analytical way, Dacic said and added that the Serbian Ministry of the Interior informs about this the relevant services of the countries that are potential targets.
The Danish delegation congratulated the Serbian government and Dacic on the successes achieved so far and voiced readiness for constructive cooperation with Serbia.
