Dositej Obradovic award presented to Italian publishing house Zandonai Editore

Serbian Minister of Culture Nebojsa Bradic presented the Dositej Obradovic award today to the Italian publishing house Zandonai Editore for a special contribution to the translation of literary works and presentation of Serbian culture.

Presenting the award to Zandonai Editore editor-in-chief Giuliano Geri at the 55th international book fair at the Belgrade Fairgrounds, Bradic underlined that presentation of Serbian literature in Italy contributes to better communication and understanding between the cultures of the two peoples.
The Minister said that it is of special importance that this publishing house will publish the works of two great Serbian writers – Bora Stankovic and Ivo Andric.
Zandonai Editore has existed for less than four years, but is continuously presenting Serbian literature and culture in Italy.
So far it has published works of Aleksandar Tisma, Filip David, David Albahari, Dragan Velikic and Dusan Velickovic.
