Sutanovac underlined that during this process Serbia will not neglect its non-EU partners who are also taking part in peace missions throughout the world.
He declared that Serbia has developed diplomacy in the defence sector with over 50 countries and that apart from the military sphere, this form of diplomacy is important at the political level.
The Minister underscored that by participating in peace missions, whose goal is to disable further conflicts, Serbia is at the same time protecting its own state interests.
The fact that Serbia is aware of the importance of global security and is ready to participate in the preservation of peace and stability, or provide medical protection in another part of the world, proves that it is a responsible state, the Minister observed.
Sutanovac noted that at his meetings with Norwegian officials over the last three days the work of Serbian soldiers and medical teams in Chad was highly commended.
Through military engagements we strive to position our country high in international relations, and professionalisation of the Army and the announced opening of a military-medical faculty will further contribute to the improvement of our international rating, the Minister concluded.
