Speaking at a regular press conference held in the Serbian government, Bubalo said that irregularities were committed during the purchase of shares, and not only by one bidder.
Serbian Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Policy Slobodan Lalovic said that the Serbian government adopted today a labour bill and forwarded it to the Serbian parliament for adoption. He voiced hope that this law will be passed before the New Year.
Lalovic said that the new labour bill has been harmonised with a majority of EU directives, and that it was adopted with consent and consultations from and with trade unions, domestic and foreign employers, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank, which supported a majority of proposed solutions after several months of work and discussion.
Serbian Minister of Trade, Tourism and Services Bojan Dimitrijevic said that the government today adopted a bill on advertising, which will prohibit advertising of tobacco products and spirits. The ban does not extend to advertising for beer.
Dimitrijevic said that representatives of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Trade had contrary opinions on this matter. However, this bill regulates this field in a comprehensive manner, because it protects consumers and at the same time helps curb grey economy activities.
He warned that penalties for offences are very strict, and that the work of media outlets and organisations who violate provisions of this law will be prohibited.
Minister Dimitrijevic said that after the law on advertising is adopted in the Serbian parliament, there will be a transitional period of 90 days until its full implementation, just as for all other laws.
