First year students from poorest municipalities travel to Thessaloniki

Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Bozidar Djelic announced today that 20 first year students from the poorest municipalities in Serbia who scored excellent results during their studies will travel to Greece tomorrow as part of the project “Europe for All”.

Djelic specified at a press conference that this is a continuation of this project which started on 19 December last year, when 50 Serbian citizens made a tour of European cities. This time, the students will stay four days in Thessaloniki.
The poorest municipalities in Serbia that are sending their students on the trip include Novi Pazar, Rekovac, Bor, Sombor, Kosovska Mitrovica, Pristina, Kikinda, Vlasotince, Knjazevac, Bela Palanka.
The Deputy Prime Minister wished the students a nice time in Greece and recalled that the aim of the project “Europe for All” is to enable those who have not had an opportunity to travel to see something new and acquire new experience.
The conference was also attended by donors of the project – representatives of “Alfa Banka” and the company Veropoulos, the Spanish Fund for Achieving Millennium Development Goals, UNIQA Osiguranje insurance company, Lasta transport company, Coca-Cola and the European Movement in Serbia.
