Dacic explained that these are new, modern licence plates, driving licences and vehicle registration books, noting that the documents will be replaced gradually when citizens are due to renew their licences.
Following a session of the Vojvodina Parliamentary Committee on Security, held last night in Novi Sad, Dacic stated that the issuance of these documents was postponed for six months in order to avoid crowding during the summer.
Biometric passports and ID cards are still being issued and we did not want to overburden our staff and citizens, Dacic noted, adding that around 2.6 million travel documents have been issued in Serbia over the last two years, which is twice as many as in the previous decade.
