International cooperation of security services

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic stated today that only international cooperation between police forces and security services can efficiently combat organised crime and terrorism.

Dacic attended the closing ceremony of a “Combating Terrorism” seminar at the base of the Special Antiterrorist Unit (SAJ) in Batajnica and presented certificates to the best participants in the seminar.
Just as criminals and terrorists know no boundaries in their illegal activities, so the joint activities of the police and security services must also be coordinated and effective, said Dacic.
The five-day seminar, organised by the Serbian Ministry of the Interior in cooperation with instructors from the hostage rescue team of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), was held at the SAJ base for the third year in a row.
As part of the seminar, which brought together members of special units from the region, as well as from Australia, France and Italy, there was an exercise of rescuing hostages from a bus hijacked by terrorists.
