In a statement to Tanjug, Krkobabic said that this payment will not affect negatively loans to small and medium-sized enterprises, subsidies to companies, or projects for encouraging investments.
This payment cannot cause any inflation or growth in prices since it is a minimum amount intended for spending, he explained.
Krkobabic underlined that there are no dilemmas concerning this one-off aid to pensioners since an agreement was reached on all details.
He expressed his satisfaction over the fact that pensioners will receive this aid worth RSD 5,000, equal to the one given to civil servants.
The Deputy Prime Minister voiced hope that RSD 6.8 billion, which is the total sum that will be paid to pensioners, will influence positively their standards of living, especially of those with the lowest income, which will bring about an increase in demand of domestic goods.
This payment will surely help pensioners wait for the indexation that will take place in January 2011, Krkobabic concluded.
