Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and Minister of Science and Technological Development Bozidar Djelic said today that €18.5 million will be allocated from IPA funds for all projects on the Danube planned for next year.
During a visit to Zrenjanin, where he met with Mayor Mile Mihajlov and Dean of the Technical Faculty Mihajlo Pupin Milan Pavlovic, Djelic announced that funds for wastewater cleaning in the city will be provided by the end of this year, and also announced resolving the issues related to landfill.
He pointed out that the Technical Faculty will receive support and assistance for its innovation centre and recalled the great success of a student team from this faculty that in June this year achieved second place in software development at an international competition in Poland organised by the company Microsoft.
Djelic added that the Ministry will set aside €800 million by 2014 for scholarships for young scientists.
