European integration priority for Serbia

Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and Minister of Science and Technological Development Bozidar Djelic today expressed the hope that Hungary, which will preside over the EU next year, will help Serbia join the Union as soon as possible.
Djelic in a meeting with the leadership of Ada municipality reiterated that the priority for Serbia is its European integration, adding that the priority for the north of Vojvodina should also be cross-border cooperation with Hungary and Romania.
He said that it is necessary to work on joint cross-border cooperation projects and apply EU grants that will be announced as early as October through IPA funds.
The Deputy Prime Minister also promised help to the team of the Poverty Reduction Committee in Ada.
Djelic also visited Novak Radonic elementary school in Mol, where he presented the children from socially vulnerable families with textbooks, a telescope and a scientific encyclopedia for elementary school pupils and high school students.
The Deputy Prime Minister will visit Kikinda and meet with the leadership of this municipality, upon which, together with members of student parliament he will give a lecture on the importance of Serbia's entry into the EU.
