Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and Minister of Science and Technological Development Bozidar Djelic invited potential candidates to apply for the posts of directors of science and research organisations in Serbia. An open competition for these jobs will be held in autumn.
In an interview with Tanjug agency, Djelic stated that 40 scientific and research organisations in the country will hold open competitions for these jobs. This step is being taken to ensure the proper implementation of a €400 million investment cycle for science infrastructure and projects.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that he hopes that there will be a lot of interest in these jobs and that the best people will come to hold executive positions in the field of science, adding that the competitions will be announced within the next few weeks.
Managing boards are responsible for announcing the competitions, and a committee will examine applications afterwards. Following this the science council of the institute in question will give its opinion and the final decision will be made by the Minister of Science and Technological Development, he explained.
