Dacic signs agreement establishing International Anti-Corruption Academy

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic signed an Agreement on the establishment of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) in Vienna today.

Dacic pointed out that this shows Serbia's firm determination to achieve one of its priorities, the fight against crime and corruption.
He pointed out that the Academy can have positive effects on the efficiency of the fight against corruption both at an international level as well as in each member country of this initiative.
In this way, by adopting various strategies and plans and by training staff, which will be implemented in the years ahead, we will harmonise the standards that exist in different countries and therefore the struggle against corruption will get a universal dimension, outlined Dacic.
The Academy, which will be based in Luxembourg, is one of the major initiatives of the UN in the fight against crime and corruption, said a statement from the Ministry of the Interior. The Agreement on the establishment of the Academy was signed by another 35 countries.
