Several smugglers of weapons, explosives arrested

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said today that in a joint action by the police of Serbia, Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, several persons smuggling explosives and weapons were arrested.

Dacic stated after the opening of a department of administrative affairs at the police station in Bajina Basta that five persons were arrested in Serbia and one in Bosnia-Herzegovina, adding that the action is still ongoing.
The arrested persons are Svetolik Djokic, Miodrag Matijevic, Nikola Vojinovic, Marko Vojinovic and Marko Djokic, declared Dacic.
The First Deputy Prime Minister confirmed that police seized 15 kilogrammes of plastic explosives, six grenades, two pistols and four mechanisms to activate explosives.
As for the case of Hypo-Alpe-Adria Bank, Dacic affirmed that the Austrian police are investigating the bank's operations especially in Croatia, and that Serbian police will check if there were any irregularities in the bank’s operations in Serbia.
The opening of the administrative department in Bajina Basta was also attended by Police Director Milorad Veljovic.
Dacic will participate today in rafting on the Drina, from Perucac to Rogacica.
