New bridge in Trgoviste opens

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic opened a bridge today on the Kozidol–Lesnica River, where the river had destroyed the old bridge in the flood on 15 May.

The new bridge for citizens of the municipality of Trgoviste, which is among the poorest in our country, has been donated by the construction company Toncev Gradnja from Surdulica.
Dacic sent an appeal to all those who are able to help in solving life problems that exist in many parts of Serbia to do so.
The First Deputy Prime Minister also visited the newly constructed section of the Trgoviste–Kozji Dol road and a dam on the Triposnica River in Trgoviste, the building of which prevented a large landslide and a large-scale disaster.
He told reporters regarding the current events in the area of Novi Pazar that it was necessary to keep peace and stability and not to distort the mutual confidence among ethnicities established in recent years.
The Minister said that the incidents that occurred over the last few days were solved by the police and will be finished by judicial organs.
He also reiterated that a solution to the issue of Kosovo-Metohija should be a compromise in a move to meet the interests of both Serbs and Albanians.
The only thing to which Serbia cannot agree is to say that the Kosovo issue can be solved through a declared independence, he maintained.
Serbia is open to everything else; this is primarily related to agreements with our partners – both those who support the views of Serbia and those who do not but are still our partners, Dacic underlined.
He stressed that the EU remains a strategic orientation for our country but also the defence of our national and state interests in a legitimate way, the way other countries in the world do.
Our willingness to compromise is there, he pointed out noting that compromise means a just solution.
He confirmed that there had been arrests and detention for fictitious changes of residence of Kosovo Albanians who wished to obtain a Serbian passport, noting that there have not been many examples of such violations.
We are conducting an investigation and we have arrested some officers and those citizens who reported false addresses, concluded Dacic.
