Pensions to be adjusted with salaries in public sector

Deputy Prime Minister Jovan Krkobabic said today in Kraljevo that next year pensions will be adjusted using the same formula and at the same percentage as salaries in the public sector.
Krkobabic confirmed that he completed negotiations with representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on the level of pensions which can be adjusted to salaries in the public sector as of next year.
He recalled that the Serbian government adopted a proposal for assistance to the poorest pensioners which they will receive in September and added that the minimum amount of this assistance is RSD 5,000 or more, depending on the level of pension.
The number of pensioners who will receive this assistance out of a total of 1,600,000 pensioners will depend on the amount of funds that will be collected for this purpose.
Today Krkobabic met with Kraljevo Mayor Ljubisa Simovic, presidents of organisations of pensioners from Raska, Rasina and Moravica districts and with reserve military senior officials.
