Dacic, Karamarko to discuss cooperation in fighting crime

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic announced today that on 18 July he will meet with Croatian Minister of the Interior Tomislav Karamarko to discuss improving cooperation in the fight against crime.
Dacic told reporters in the Serbian parliament that Karamarko will visit Belgrade within the delegation headed by Croatian President Ivo Josipovic.
Dacic confirmed that a proposal was sent to the Croatian government that citizens of both states are allowed travel without passports and with IDs only.
He recalled that Serbia and Croatia recently signed an Agreement on mutual surrender of their citizens accused of organised crime and corruption, adding that apart from this and the formation of a regional centre for the exchange of information on organised crime, some additional steps should be made.
This could include joint investigation teams and unique arrest warrants that would be valid in the territory of Serbia and Croatia and other states that accept to enter into such an agreement with Serbia.
