The Gendarmerie has evolved with time by keeping up with modern trends, noted Dikic.
Outstanding members of the Gendarmerie were presented with plaques and certificates of recognition at the ceremony. Later, an exercise was held in which members of the unit displayed their skills to an audience of a large number of people, representatives of the diplomatic corps and the Serbian Army, and prominent personalities.
They demonstrated their high level of proficiency in resolving hostage situations, parachuting and apprehending criminals in various lifelike situations.
