Serbia thankful to Brazil on its principled support on Kosovo-Metohija

Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic expressed his gratitude to Brazil on the country’s principled support to Serbia when it comes to Kosovo-Metohija, our top priority foreign policy issue.

At a joint press conference with Foreign Minister of Brazil Celso Amorim, Jeremic expressed satisfaction over the good and friendly relations between the two countries.
He announced that he and Amorim signed agreements on abolishing visas for diplomatic and official passports, as well as an agreement on abolishing visas for citizens of Brazil and Serbia, together with a Memorandum of Understanding on political consultations.
Jeremic said that he is especially honoured to host the first Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil to visit Serbia, and added that he and Amorim discussed bilateral ties in all fields, particularly in the field of economics.
There are many people who want to help to improve the cooperation between our two countries, including football player Dejan Petkovic, who was awarded a medal by the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for special merits and who will be one of the honorary consuls of Serbia in Brazil, declared the Minister.
Amorim pointed out that the documents signed with Jeremic will facilitate the day-to-day life for the citizens of the two countries and invited Serbian citizens to attend the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil.
