Cooperation between Serbian, Croatian police to serve as example of regional police cooperation

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said today during talks with a delegation of the Croatian parliament that Serbia’s goal is to speed up reforms that will bring the country closer to European integration and expressed gratitude for Croatia’s support in the process of visa liberalisation.
Both Serbia and Croatia expressed support to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania in their efforts to achieve visa liberalisation and underlined that they can help them in this process.
Dacic declared that it is high time Serbia and Croatia discussed the possibility of their citizens passing the border with IDs only, as is the case with EU citizens who can enter Serbia with this document only.
The Serbian Minister of the Interior underlined that the Serbian and Croatian police have good cooperation, which can serve as an example to the police in other Western Balkan countries.
Dacic announced that at his last meeting with the Croatian Minister of the Interior, the possibility of opening a regional centre for the fight against organised crime was examined.
This would be a step forward in the joint fight against all forms of crime and in achieving a faster and more efficient exchange of information, he concluded.
