Arrest of Simovic affirmation of good police cooperation between Serbia, Croatia

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic stated that the arrest of Milos Simovic today affirms that good police cooperation exists in the region. It also shows that regional cooperation is highly important.

Dacic emphasised that the Serbian and Croatian police forces had been exchanging information on the possible presence of members of the Zemun Clan in Croatia.
The border police arrested Simovic at a distance of 200 metres from the Batrovci border crossing last night, confirmed Dacic, adding that Simovic had no identification documents and that he was brought in to the Belgrade police administration in order to establish identity.
During the day, Simovic will be handed over to the department for the enforcement of penal sanctions of the Ministry of Justice, concluded Dacic.
