Dacic pointed to the importance of joint projects of the Serbian and German police and expressed satisfaction with several joint actions against drug smuggling, illegal migration and money laundering.
The First Deputy Prime Minister welcomed Germany’s support to reforms in Serbia and many donations of equipment for boosting the capacity of the Serbian Ministry of the Interior.
Stock said that the Serbian Ministry of the Interior is Germany’s main partner in the region and noted that cooperation between the two countries’ police departments is very successful.
He underlined that both Serbia and Germany pay great attention to regional and international cooperation.
Crime in the region is linked with international criminal structures, which is why it is important that the Serbian police is the leader of regional cooperation. Only by joint efforts can we cut the channels of organised crime, Stock said.
Dacic and Stock said that cooperation with EULEX exists and that it should be improved in the upcoming period. They announced the signing of a police cooperation agreement between Serbia and Germany.
