Opening the Science Festival at the Novi Sad University, Djelic stressed that the annual budget for scientific projects will be €90 million at the state level, while the province of Vojvodina will also earmark certain funds for this purpose.
The Deputy Prime Minister announced that competitions for these investment projects will be announced tomorrow at the “Scientific Community for the Future of Serbia” conference, to be attended by 3,500 scientists from all over Serbia.
He specified that over €20 million will be allocated from the science fund and used for the return of scientists who had left the country, adding that a list of the most prominent scientists and engineers of technology has already been drafted.
In the months to come, young scientists under 35 years of age will be enabled to run major projects, he announced.
