Southeast European countries to jointly fight against organised crime

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic and interior ministers of countries signatories of the Convention for Police Cooperation for South Eastern Europe signed in Sofia a Memorandum of future joint activities in the fight against organised crime.

Dacic said that the signing of the document will be followed by the adoption of a series of protocols to implement the Memorandum in practice.
He added that a roadmap was designed to implement this document, as well as to prepare a manual for all countries signatories.
He explained that police cooperation takes place on several levels – operational, educational, investigative and the level of control of drug deliveries.
There is undivided opinion that we have the same problems related to crime, considering that countries in the region have similar histories and traditions, said the First Deputy Prime Minister.
The Memorandum was signed by interior ministers of Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Moldova, Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria and Romania.
