Bradic said that the contract defines the financing of priority projects this year, and added that most of the funds will be spent on continuing the renovation of the big dormitory built from 1816 to 1821.
He underlined that the renovation of the most important monument which Serbs built outside their homeland is not only the responsibility of the Ministry of Culture, but of the Serbian government as well. The signing of this agreement confirms dedication to the common goal of the full renovation of the monastery.
According to the Minister, Hilandar should be more present in Serbia through various activities, such as the exhibition currently held at the gallery of the Serbian Academy of Arts and Sciences, which speaks about the results of the renovation of the Serbian monastery on Mount Athos.
