Minister of Defence Dragan Sutanovac announced that Serbia will soon open its office in the NATO mission in Brussels, through which it will cooperate with the Partnership for Peace Programme on several projects, like other members of the programme.
Sutanovac told a press conference that before the end of the year, Serbian soldiers will have joined two more peace missions abroad, adding that the third planned mission in Uganda, that was supposed to be carried out with France, will not be implemented this year.
He recalled that Serbia is currently independently participating in UN peace missions in Congo, Ivory Coast and Liberia, while it is also present in Chad, together with a German contingent.
