Compared to last year, the number of university places has been increased by 1.17% and the number of places in vocational high schools by 1.3%, said Obradovic.
This year’s quota was adjusted with regulations concerning the accreditation of higher education establishments, he said.

The smallest number of admissions was 258, at the University of Arts in Belgrade while the University of Novi Pazar received 450 first year students, a relatively small number as well, said Obradovic.
Amendments to the Law on higher education are being finalised, under which university fees will be monitored. Fees should not be increased during the economic crisis, said Obradovic.
