Jeremic expressed his hope that the forthcoming Ministerial Conference, which will be held in Sarajevo during the Spanish presidency of the EU, will be successful.
The Minister reiterated Serbia's position that the provisional institutions in Pristina can participate in regional conferences only with full respect of international law and Resolution 1244.
Jeremic said that he and the Spanish foreign minister reached consensus that the conference should give new impetus to regional cooperation and European integration of the region.
Moratinos said that Spain is ready to continue to provide assistance to Serbia and other Western Balkan countries on their way to integration into the EU, and expressed the hope that greater progress for the entire region will be made by the end of the Spanish EU presidency at the end of June this year.
He expressed satisfaction over the recent steps taken by Serbian authorities, including the adoption of the Declaration on Srebrenica by the Serbian parliament and support to the integration of Bosnia-Herzegovina, which had a strong echo in the EU.
He said that the conference in Sarajevo should be a complete success and will be a turning point in the context of European involvement in the Western Balkans.
Moratinos said that the positions of all countries in the region are well-known, but that efforts are being made to reach better regional cooperation.
