Public debate on bill on technical-physical security

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said that he expects that public debate on the bill on technical-physical security will begin soon.

While visiting the Police Administration in Bor, Dacic said it is necessary to create legal preconditions in order to make the private sector more functional and efficient in the overall public security system.
He stressed that it must be known who is to form this sector, issue licences to the staff and what their authorisations would be regarding the protection of people and their property.
Dacic recalled that the adoption of such a law has been announced for years now.
There were opinions voiced that the police should not take part in the preparation of this law, but then this could create opportunities for individuals to create their own armed services and if they wish, to hire criminals.
